Employees and vibrant countryside

We grow best together

We believe in the meeting of the power of nature and the ideas of our employees. Because it is precisely the ability to combine innovative thinking with a long-term perspective that forms the basis of our business. This is the prerequisite for making a real difference – for the climate, for society and for the future.

We create a positive working climate through equal parts development and community. We invest a lot in skills development, while at the same time we know that growth is at its greatest when development is part of the daily work. That's why we delegate responsibility and give employees the confidence to be in the driver's seat of their goals and of the way there.

Vision Zero for Discrimination

Our culture is built on a strong commitment to health, safety, diversity, and inclusion. We do not tolerate discrimination in any form. A workplace free from discrimination and accidents is fundamental to who we are, and our Vision Zero remains unwavering. Progress is continuously monitored through employee surveys, performance reviews, and the reporting and follow-up of incidents and cases.

An injury-free workplace

A healthy culture and an injury-free workplace for both our employees and the contractors we work with are fundamental to our operations. We carry out systematic and collaborative occupational health and safety management in accordance with ISO 45001. As always, we apply the precautionary principle in everything we do. Through a long-term and focused approach, we continuously work towards our vision of zero accidents.

Strong relationships in a vibrant countryside

Forestry is a prerequisite for a vibrant countryside. As one of Sweden's largest forest owners, with a land holding of 1.3 million hectares from north to south, it is a matter of course for us to work with Holmen to have a good relationship with forest owners, local residents and everyone else who lives with the forest in one way or another.

It is important that forests grow and provide us with renewable products, and it is at least as important that people have the opportunity to grow. Forestry creates jobs where jobs are often few, and makes it possible for people to live, stay and thrive even far from the big cities.

We are involved in associations and the hospitality industry at home. Together, we create opportunities for people to meet, thrive and experience nature.

Together at home

We embrace the opportunity to contribute to a society where we reduce the gaps instead of reinforcing them. That is why we are involved in initiatives that make life in our region better, and for us it is a matter of course that children and young people should be offered meaningful leisure time even in smaller towns. We also invest in industrial training and young people's opportunities to discover the joy of science, technology and wood.

Holmen's Code of Conduct
